Jared (Matthew) is SO excited to be making his Maryland stage debut in Altar Boyz, and also is extremely proud to be joining the Actors Equity Association with this show!!! Jared was an altar boy for 5 years at Saint Barnabas church on Long Island (no joke!), so he is pumped to be bringing that experience to this stage! Jared is a recent graduate of Ithaca College with a BFA in Musical Theatre. Regionally, Jared starred as the title role in "Aladdin: The Musical Spectacular" at the Hyperion Theatre in Anaheim, CA. Other favorite credits include Monty in "Violet", Demetrius in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and Jacopo in the musical world premiere of "The Count of Monte Cristo" in Ithaca. Jared has had feature and leading roles in over 5 independent and student films. Also, Jared has done numerous print campaigns and has recently appeared in the Portland Monthly, the Boston Globe online, and the Occunomix clothing catalogue. Travis Morin (Luke) is totally stoked to be kickin' it with G.O.D. in DC! Travis just recently toured with Seussical as Mr. Mayor with Theaterworks USA. In NYC he was last seen as the Artful Dodger in the new rock musical TWIST as part of the Midtown International Theater Festival. Other favorites: Footloose (Ren), Sunday in the Park with George (The Boatman), Cabaret (Ernst Ludwig), Jekyll & Hyde (The Newsboy), Macbeth (Ross). When he is not flexing his muscles on stage Travis can be seen waiting tables at Ellen's Stardust Diner as part of the world famous singing wait-staff in Times Square. DAVID R. GORDON
David (Abraham) As a native of California, David moved to New York to pursue his career in theatre just five months ago. He is thrilled to be making his east coast debut with Bethesda Theatre in the role of Abraham the "Jewish" boy in Altar Boyz (what a coincidence!). David spent the last year performing extensively throughout Los Angeles and Orange County, California. Prior to that, David was seen touring Europe for nine months in Grease playing the role of Roger in both English and German! Some of David's favorite roles include, Cabrillo Music Theatre's Beauty and the Beast where he was tossed and thrown all over the stage as Lefou. He was Bobby Strong in Urinetown, and Man #1 in the West Coast premiere of Edges. In addition he was the Lion in The Wizard of Oz, Jamie in The Last Five Years, Nicely-Nicely in Guys and Dolls, Action in West Side Story, Al Capone in Ray Cooney's original musical Twice Upon a Time, and Billy in the original cast of A Christmas Show. David would like to thank his family for their endless support and his friends for always being there. He thanks Stafford and the entire production staff here at Bethesda Theatre. Enjoy the show! Patrick (Mark) is making his debut at The Bethesda Theatre. His DC area credits include Lord of the Flies at Round House Theatre; One Red Flower (Billy u/s) and Pacific Overtures (Kayama u/s) at Signature Theatre; as well as performances at The Kennedy Center such as Bernstein’s Mass and New Years Eve at The Kennedy Center (2008). He also toured in the production of Alexander Who's Not…Going to Move with The Kennedy Center: Imagination Celebration on tour. Patrick is a recent graduate of The Catholic University of America where he received his B.M. in Musical Theatre. Catholic University credits include Candide (Title Role), Jacques Brel, Grand Hotel, Jesus Christ Superstar, and The Secret Garden.
